Maria Palacio

Creatively by Maria, LLC was created in 2023 by Maria Palacio, a Brooklyn based film producer, creative, teacher & photographer. CBM caters to creating and sharing compelling stories, taking risks, breaking barriers, opening doors for women and POC, and more.

Inspired through her own experience as an up-and-coming filmmaker she established Revolution Me Film Festival in 2016 to create a forum to nurture other emerging artists in the field.

She has produced over 14 films heavily focused on women and diverse stories. Maria is currently a teacher at Long Island University Brooklyn Campus. She is also in pre-production of her 5th directed film and is still working on her first directed/co-produced documentary, The Fighter in Us. Her documentary series is one of 89 recipients of the 2022 NYC women’s fund.

Maria was part of this year’s Latino Film Market Panel celebrating latino filmmakers/creatives like Maria. Maria spoke about her work and shared her latest projects.

One of Maria’s latest producing films screened at the Big Apple Film Festival in May 2025. Bloody Bloody was written and direct by Aaron Sarles.

Maria was recently invited to join the Latinx Women in Film, Media & Literature in the Industry Panel by Filmmaker & Festival Founder Arilyn Martinez Cora and Word Up- Library. Maria was recognized and applauded for her film Unlocked and the work she continues to do.

Maria recently hosted a film screening to celebrate Women’s History Month with other filmmakers at the Pine Box Rock Shop in Brooklyn NY.
